This is the Last Will and Testament of me John Surridge of
Bampton in the County of Devon, Saddler.
I give and bequeath all my Estate and Effects of what nature and
kind source and wheresoever situate unto my five sisters Mary Baker
Horne otherwise Hoare, Elisa Ford Surridge, Ann Surridge, Jane
Surridge and Martha Surridge their heirs, executors, administrators
and assigns equally to be divided between them as tenants in common
and I declare that the share of my said sister Mary Baker Horne
otherwise Hoare shall be for her sole and separate use independent
of her husband and free from his debts and control and that the
receipts in writing of my said sister Mary Baker Horne otherwise
Hoare shall notwithstanding her coverture be sufficient discharges
to my executrixes for any monies to be paid to her under this my
Will. And Lastly I appoint my said sisters Ann and Jane joint
Executrixes of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me
made directed In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this
twelfth day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty six.
Signed by the said John Surridge the Testator in the joint
presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the
presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness.

Proved at London 20th Novr. 1846 before the Judge by the oath of Ann Surridge, spinster, the sister, one of the Executrixes to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn by Comm duly to administer power reserved of making the like grant to Jane Surridge, spinster, the sister, also the other Executrix when she shall apply for the same.
