BRUSHFORD

[Description(s) from The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland (1868)]

"BRUSHFORD, a parish in the hundred of North Tawton with Winkley, in the county of Devon, 4 miles to the S. of Chulmleigh. The North Devon railway passes within a short distance. The river Taw runs through the parish. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Exeter, worth £51, in the patronage of G. Luxton, Esq. The church contains a portrait of Queen Anne."
