CREACOMBE

[Description(s) from The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland (1868)]

"CREACOMBE, a parish in the hundred of Witheridge, in the county of Devon 6½ miles S.E. of South Molten, its post town, and 9 N.W. of Tiverton. It is situated on the river Sturcombe, and contains only a few scattered houses. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter, value £153, in the patronage of the Rev. W. Karslake, the rector. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is a small structure."
