The sub-title of this volume states: Now preserved in the Probate Registry at Exeter. This of course is unfortunately no longer true - and the reference numbers recorded with each entry in the Calendar now have little utility.
The complete book, copies of which are held by SOG, WSL, the LDS Family History Library, and a number of major reference libraries and various record offices, contains of the order of 25,000 entries. A scanned copy is now also available online in the Internet Archive.
