EXTRACT FROM THE WILTSHIRE AND SWINDON ARCHIVES WILLS DATABASE

Produced from an extract from their wills database, kindly provided by the Wiltshire and Swindon Archives, Chippenham, Wilts. Chardstock was transferred from Dorset to Devon in 1896, well after all these Chardstock wills were proved, one presumes. However some of the Chardstock entries in the WSA database nevertheless identify Chardstock as being in Dorset - the county code for such entries is therefore given here as "DOR". (Note that this index and UFWI include many duplicate entries, since the originals of most UFWI entries are held at WSA in Chippenham.)
