1860, the Will ------------------ of Charles Perriam late of
Salterton in the parish of East Budleigh in the County of Devon
Gentleman -------------------------
deceased, who died on or about the seventh day of October
1860 at Salterton aforesaid ------
Was proved in the DISTRICT REGISTRY attached to Her Majesty's Court
of Probate at EXETER, by Oath of Elizabeth Barratt of Budleigh
Salterton in the County of Devon Widow and Ann Webber (wife of
James Webber) of the same place Daughter of the deceased the

Executrixes therein named they having been first sworn duly
to administer.

This is the last and only Will and
Testament of me Charles Perriam of Salterton in
the parish of East Budleigh in the County of Devon Gentleman I give
and bequeath unto the Reverend George Henry Kempe of Bicton in the
County of Devon Clerk and Thomas Walker of Salterton aforesaid
Gentleman and to the survivor of them and to the Executors and
Administrators of such survivor on trust for my dearly beloved wife
Ann Perriam all that my lodging house on the beach in Salterton
aforesaid with all the furniture of mine in the said house at my
death for and during the life of my said wife if my interest
therein shall so long continue. Also I give unto my said wife the
sum of five pounds yearly to be paid out of my houses which I
purchased of Sims situate in Salterton aforesaid the sum to be paid
her by half yearly payments on the twenty fifth day of March and
the twenty fifth day of September in every year during her life if
my interest therein shall so long continue the first payment
thereof to be made on such of the said days as shall first happen
after my death I give and bequeath the house wherein my daughter in
law Sarah Perriam now lives and after the death of my said wife the
lodging house and furniture before mentioned for all the interest I
have thereon to my Grandchildren Sarah Ann the wife of Charles
Underhill Frances the wife of Edwin Clark Charlotte Perriam,
Harriett Perriam, Henry George Perriam and Susan Ann Freeman
Perriam the Children of my deceased Son Henry Perriam equally among
them their Executors Administrators and Assigns I give and bequeath
to my Grandson George Charles Perriam his Executors Administrators
and Assigns three of those houses which I purchased of Sims situate
in Salterton aforesaid for all the interest I have therein subject
to the five pounds payable yearly to my wife for life I give and
bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Barratt widow absolutely the
sum of Four hundred and forty six pounds being part of certain
Stock now standing in my name in the Books of the Governor and
Company of the Bank of England with all dividends due thereon at my
death. Also I give unto the said Elizabeth Barratt her Executors
Administrators and Assigns all that my house and all the furniture
in it wherein Mr Garner now dwells in Salterton aforesiad for all
the interest I have therein I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Ann Webber her Executors Administrators and Assigns all that my
house wherein I now live and the house adjoining wherein she now
lives with their appurtenances situate in Salterton aforesaid for
the respective interests I have therein Also I give unto the said
Ann Webber her Executors Administrators and Assigns all that
mortgage for Two hundred pounds which I hold against George Perriam
of Salterton aforesaid Also I give unto the said Ann Webber her
Executors Administrators and Assigns all that mortgage for Two
hundred and forty seven pounds which I hold against Messieurs
Strickland and others Also I give unto the said Ann Webber her
Executors Administrators and Assigns all that one little plot of
land situate at Frogmore within the parish of East Budleigh
aforesaid for all the interest I have therein. I give unto my
daughter in law Sarah Perriam widow the sum of ten pounds I give
unto my daughter in law Ann Perriam widow the sum of ten pounds I
give unto the daughter of my Grandson George Henry Perriam deceased
the sum of ten pounds I direct that these three sums be paid by my
Executrixs hereinafter names within one month next after my death I
give and bequeath unto my said wife Ann Perriam the dividends
arising from the sum of five hundred pounds being also part of
certain Stock now standing in my name in the books of the Governor
and Company of the Bank of England for her life And after her
decease I direct that the said sum of Five hundred pounds shall
form part of my residuary estate I give and bequeath unto the said
George Henry Kempe and Thomas Walker their heirs executors and
administrators all estates vested in me as Trustee or Mortgagee All
the rest residue and remainder of my lands tenements goods chattels
ready money stock in the funds debts notes and securities for money
whatsoever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my debts
funeral expenses legacies and other charges I give devise and
bequeath unto my two daughters Elizabeth Barratt Widow and Ann
Webber their respective heirs executors administrators and assigns
whom I hereby appoint Executrixes of this my Will. I declare that
the receipts of my trustees or executors for the time being shall
efficiently discharge any purchasers or other persons paying monies
under this my will or the trusts thereof and that such purchasers
or other persons shall not afterwards be bound to see to
the application or be answerable for the misapplication or
nonapplication thereof. In witness whereof I have to this
my last Will and Testament set my hand this second day of January
in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty

Signed by the said Charles Perriam the Testator as his last Will
and Testament in the presence xxx both present at the same time who
at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other

On the 9th day of November 1860 the Will of
Charles Perriam late of Salterton in the parish of East Budleigh in
the County of Devon Gentleman deceased was proved by the Oathes of
Elizabeth Barrat Widow and Ann Webber, wife of James Webber,
Daughters of the deceased the Executrixes having been first sworn
duly to administer
