Lawrence was born in 1563. Another Stucley Phillipa married John Frame in 1598. In the 1566 survey the Toker family held Longfurlong and Mettaford as customary tenants.

They had six sons & five daughters of which Nicholas was the heir. Note a son William married Rebecca daughter of Thomas Docton and had three daughters. William was born 1592, died 1684 . The youngest daughter Prudence married Achilles Fortescue. [Chope; Book of Hartland p 182.]

They had five children from 1604 to 1617 four girls and one son Thomas. Could Thomas Dungey hold this prominent position due to his own authority or worth or as a representative of the Prust family? He died in 1631. No record of his wife being buried at Hartland although a daughter Prudence is buried in 1639 and Jane is recorded as next of kin.There is no seat assigned to Jane. She is the daughter of Charles Prust [died 1592] and Honor Stone, Charles has also Temperance married Nich. Hawke, Anna, Honor, Mary who married J. Escott Gent, The name Dungey could be a mistake for Mungey [Mountjoy] then repeated by the scribes.

Thomas' father William lived at Greynham [Crenham]

Bapt 1584 died 1637 aged 53. He married in 1607 at Hartland Elizabeth the daughter of Anthony Monk of Potherbridge, Devon. Elizabeth died 1653 aged about 76. At 1613 he would be 29 and she about 26. They had seven sons & three daughters. The eldest son Anthony was heir. Third son John married Jane daughter of Thomas Docton. They had four daughters of which one Elizabeth married William Galsworthy in 1680.

Their eldest son Anthony was born pre 1612 as Chope says he was over 25 at his fathers death. At 1613 still alive and in this area would have been Prudence Luttrell (aged 49) The said Nicholas (aged 29) his wife Elizabeth (aged 26) and their eldest son Anthony (aged 2). It could also be possible that cousins from a branch of the Abbot family that were still alive sat here as one had married Honor daughter of John Colwill. The William who had married Thomas Docton could be here if she is not seated in the Docton assignment.

Peter's is the brother of William of Blegbury and his sister Alice had married Thomas Docton in 1568, while a second sister Phillipa had married John Velly in 1577.
