TRENTISHOE

"TRENTISHOE, a parish in the hundred of Braunton, county Devon, 5 miles from Combarton, and 8½ N.E. of Ilfracombe. The village is situated in a valley near the coast of the Bristol Channel. Here is the celebrated Hedden's Mouth. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter, value £118. The church is dedicated to St. Peter."
